After careful review, the expert committee believes that the application of graphene-coated lithium ion positive and negative materials technology to vehicle power batteries is expected to increase the energy density of ternary lithium-ion battery cells to 300Wh/kg, achieve the 2020 energy density indicator for vehicle power batteries proposed by the Smart Vehicle Key Technology Industrialization Implementation Plan.
 
  At present, Zhao Jinping's team has applied for 2 national patents based on graphene wrapping technology, and several patents are being filed. The vehicle power battery is an important field for the application of graphene-coated modified lithium ion electrode materials.
