    贮藏多糖之一。主要见于菊科植物，例如，在菊芋的块茎、天竺牡丹（大理菊）的块根、蓟的根。是以胶体形态含于细胞的原生质中。与淀粉不同，它溶于温水，不呈碘反应。可被酸或菊粉酶（inulase）水解主要生成D-果糖。其结构推断是D-呋喃果糖以β-1，2-键与蔗糖的果糖脱水缩合的聚合度为32―34的多糖。微溶于有机溶剂，水中溶解度：5 G/100ML水 (70°C)。
