Product Introduction
MES is a white solid powder at room temperature and pressure, and its molecular structure contains a morpholine ring and an ethanesulfonic acid group. Morpholine ring is a nitrogen-containing heterocyclic compound with high stability and inertness, and has no obvious toxicity or irritation to living organisms. The ethanesulfonic acid group is a negatively charged functional group with good water solubility and buffering properties. 2-Morpholine ethanesulfonic acid can be used as a component of a buffer and accelerator in cosmetics, biopharmaceuticals, IVD, sealing materials, plant culture and other fields.
Application of MES
With the continuous development of large-scale industries such as batteries, mining, and electroplating, a large amount of heavy metals such as Cu (II), Pb (II), and Cd (II) are discharged into water bodies through industrial wastewater. These heavy metals are absorbed by plankton and aquatic plants after entering the water body, enriched through the food chain, and enter aquatic animals and humans, causing irreversible harm. At present, the developed adsorbent is not yet ideal, mainly due to the high cost involved in the preparation process and adsorbent products involving the utilization and output of highly toxic substances. In view of this situation, CN117797776A patent has developed a heavy metal adsorbent based on sodium alginate. The specific preparation steps of the adsorbent are as follows:
1) Add 1-2 parts by mass of sodium alginate, 0.5-0.7 parts by mass of carboxymethyl chitosan, 0.2-0.4 parts by mass of sodium based bentonite, and 0.2-0.4 parts by mass of polyethylene glycol to 96-99 parts by mass of water to prepare a solution;
(2) Dropping calcium chloride solution into the solution obtained in step (1) to obtain a hydrogel ball;
(3) Place the hydrogel ball obtained in step (2) of 8-13 parts by weight into 85-92 parts by weight of 2-morpholine ethanesulfonic acid solution, add 0.02-0.06 parts by weight of L-glutamine, 0.1-0.5 parts by weight of N-hydroxysuccinimide and 0.01-0.04 parts by weight of 1-ethyl-(3-dimethylaminopropyl) carbodiimide, stir and mix to obtain the modified hydrogel ball;
(4) The modified hydrogel ball obtained in step (3) is freeze-dried to obtain a heavy metal adsorbent based on sodium alginate.
This patent uses sodium alginate, carboxymethyl chitosan, sodium based bentonite, and polyethylene glycol as reaction raw materials. Sodium alginate, carboxymethyl chitosan, and sodium based bentonite are natural sources, and polyethylene glycol can be obtained through biological fermentation, all of which are green and environmentally friendly industrial raw materials with advantages such as low price, low toxicity, biodegradability, abundant sources, and renewability. This heavy metal adsorption material has a simple synthesis process, mild reaction conditions, and advantages such as high efficiency, fast and selective adsorption of Cu (II) and Pb (II).
